No Bake Trail Mix Bars
Alright so since this recipe, we have already made this 4 times.... SO needless to say, this is a MUST MAKE, NO BAKE :) Love the rhyming of that right? hahah. Don't get me wrong, I love to just grab ones at the stores, however, a lot of times they can be full of added sugar, gunk, and/or ingredients that are not the healthiest that really aren't needed to make a delicious nutritious bar. I also really prefer making my own, especially after seeing the gunk that can be in children snack bars. These trail bars have 10 ingredients vs. leading brands like below: YIKES.
Granola (Whole Grain Rolled Oats, Brown Sugar, Crisp Rice [Rice Flour, Sugar, Salt, Malted Barley Extract], Whole Grain Rolled Wheat, Soybean Oil, Dried Coconut, Whole Wheat Flour, Sodium Bicarbonate, Soy Lecithin, Caramel Color, Nonfat Dry Milk), Semisweet Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin, Vanilla Extract), Corn Syrup, Brown Rice Crisp (Whole Grain Brown Rice, Sugar, Malted Barley Flour, Salt), Invert Sugar, Sugar, Corn Syrup Solids, Glycerin, Soybean Oil, Contains 2% or Less of Sorbitol, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Water, Soy Lecithin, Molasses, Natural and Artificial Flavor, BHT (Preservative), Citric Acid
So 10 ingredients free of corn syrup, artificial flavors & other ingredients you can't pronounce... I think the choice is pretty easy :)
