The Best Air Fried Buffalo Chicken

These are so easy, delicious & way lighter than the typical fried buffalo chicken, without skimping on the taste!

Ingredients

Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tsp Worcester Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Buffalo Chicken

  • 8 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 cup The New Primal Mild Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

Directions For Dressing

  • In a large bowl that is hand mixer safe. Add in cream cheese, 3 oz of the crumbles, milk, mayo, Worcester sauce, garlic powder & start with 1/2 tsp of salt & pepper. Take hand mixer and on medium setting blend until smooth & fully combined about 3 minutes. Then taste to add in any more salt or pepper to taste, then add in the last oz of blue cheese. Then place in a mason jar or any other tight fit jar & refrigerate until chicken thighs are ready!

Directions for Buffalo Chicken Thighs

  • In a 9 X 11 baking dish lay out the chicken thighs at the bottom of the pan. Then in a small bowl whisk together 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp dill, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder & set aside. After, in a large bowl add in the 2 cups of bread crumbs, parmesan & the last 1 tsp of salt, whisk together & set aside as well.
  • In a medium size bowl add in hot sauce, garlic clove minced & 1 tbsp butter melted, whisk together & set aside as well. Take the spice mixture you just put together & sprinkle over the chicken thighs in the baking dish. Half the mixture on one side, then flip over & use the second half of the mixture on that side. Take your hands & rub in the seasoning on both sides. Then pour the hot sauce mixture over the chicken thighs. Make sure they are all covered, then cover your baking dish & marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
  • After your buffalo chicken has marinated take you will start coating in your breadcrumb mixture. As you take each thigh out, dip in the buffalo remaining sauce at the bottom too, to make sure it is all nice & coated. Then dip into the breadcrumbs, pressing down on it to make sure the thigh is fully coated/sticks to the thigh. Layer as many as you can get in your air fryer without overlapping.
  • Then cook on chicken setting or 400 for 20 minutes. 10 minutes on one side & then 10 minutes on the other. REDUCE cooking time by 2 minutes after EACH USE. The air fryer gets hotter after each time you have used it.
