Staple of the Week 9/24
Updated: Dec 18, 2018
I love Mexican food-- I mean it is a deal breaker for me at a Mexican restaurant if
a: Their salsa is no good
b: You have to pay for it :)
So when it comes to salsa I buy at the store, I have always struggled to find the one I LOVE. That was until I found the brand, My Brother's Salsa. I was looking for a tasty salsa + real ingredients and then I set my taste buds on the My Brother's Salsa-- Black Bean and Corn. It is great because it has a great mix of flavors with fresh cilantro and jalapeno peppers (however, not too spicy). It makes for a great salsa to add to things to make in just minutes:
Here are my favorite 3 ideas
1: Fast Guacamole If I do not have time to pull out all the stops for my guacamole, I will mash up a few avocados, pour that salsa on top and a little garlic and voila! Super easy and super yummy.
2. My Easy Dip
See my Savory Sunday Night Football post with recipe :) This salsa plays a key role in this incredibly easy and not short on flavor dip.
3. Quick Snack
I love a quick snack to throw in my lunch for work. I will open up some refried beans and throw some of the salsa on top. Then I will pack a few blue corn tortilla chips and I am good to go. The refried beans are very filling and the salsa makes it oh so delicious!
ENJOY!! Thank you for looking at this scrumptious recipe!! Remember to follow me @honestfoodie_blog and #honestgrubhonestfoodie to let me know what you are making!!
