Egg Roll in a Bowl

I love this recipe for a lot of reason, but the main reason being it is SUPER easy and a great recipe for clean eating :)


-2 1/2 pounds of Italian Chicken Sausage- They will take it out of the casings for you over the counter, TAKE THEM UP ON THIS.... SERIOUSLY :) It shaves SO much time and gross time out as well :)

-2 (12 oz ) 365 coleslaw mixes

-1 cup of low sodium soy sauce ( if it says gluten free, then this recipe is gluten free, substitute this for coconut aminos if you want it Whole 30 compliant)

-1 tbsp minced fresh ginger

-2 tbsp sesame seed oil

-5 cloves of garlic

-1 tbsp fresh lime juice

-1 tbsp olive oil

-1 bunch of green onions diced

-Sesame seeds for topping

- Anything you want to put it on top of

- Cauliflower rice ( I LOVE the frozen 365 packages)

- White or Brown Rice


- Put sesame seed oil, ginger, soy sauce, 3 garlic cloves minced and lime juice into a medium sized bowl and whisk the sauce together

- In a medium sized skillet add the olive oil and heat to medium to high heat, add in the other 2 minced garlic cloves and let it saute for 2 minutes, then add in the Italian Chicken Sausage and cook until no longer pink, breaking it apart into pieces

-Once there is no longer any pink, add in the coleslaw mixes and stir in thoroughly, let it cook down to where it is soft but still has a little crunch

-Next add in the sauce you mixed earlier and stir that in with the mix of the meat + coleslaw, let it cook for another 5 minutes, serve with green onion on top and over anything you want to, my suggestions above :)
