( You can see just how easy & fun this recipe is to make over on @thekodiakden Instagram page, where I do an Instagram Takeover to show you!)

WOOT WOOT! I am ALL about a breakfast sandwich.... especially one with this quality! I mean cheddar cheese chive waffle... need I say more? If you were every skeptical of a savory waffle, look no further than the recipe you MUST try! One of the many things I love about the traditional Buttermilk Flap Jack & Waffle Power Cake mix is that it is so virsitle. I linked 2 other recipes below that use the same mix, but prepared so differently-- but still great for you, protein packed & easy to make! Now fry up an egg, place it between 2 of these amazing waffles & jump start your morning the right way! (( Use: Alaina15 at check out to receive 15% off your order!) Link here to order!

1. Strawberries & Cream Waffle

2. Best Sheet Pan Pancakes: Carrot Cake Edition

3. Campfire Mix

Ingredients:

1 cup Buttermilk Power Cake Flapjack & Waffle Mix

1 cup milk of choice ( non dairy milk works as well)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 large clove garlic minced

2 tsp fresh chives cut finely (kitchen shears work really well)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 egg

1 slice of cheese

optional: any other scrumptious toppings like avocado, bacon, sausage etc.!

Directions:

Preheat your waffle iron & grease down per your skillet instruction

1. In a large mixing bowl add in the 1 cup of Buttermilk Power Cakes Flap Jack & Waffle mix . Then add in the fresh chives & minced garlic, then massage the chives & garlic into the flour, breaking it apart into the flour to make sure it is evenly dispersed.

2. Pour in the milk, olive oil & then fold until combined. Then add in the shredded cheese & fold once more.

3. Pour 1/3 of the mixture into each waffle section on the skillet. Then 4 minutes in mine, adjust to your waffle iron.

4. While your waffles are cooking, turn a medium pan on medium heat, spray with olive oil & sprinkle Everything But Bagel on the skillet. Crack the egg over the EBB & cook to liking. Then place cheese slice on top let melt for another minute. Then when waffles are done, take out & assemble to your liking! Throw all the yummy toppings on & enjoy!
