Best Burger Bites 3 Ways

I don't know about you but my family has very different burger preferences. Some eat meat, , some are vegetarians, some just don't eat red meat etc. So a lot of times it can be a little difficult to make sure when you are grilling you have options for everyone! So I am here to make it easier on yourself :) The beef & chicken burgers are very similar, but a few more things added to the chicken, to make sure the consistency holds together. All 3 have very similar ingredients all together though, to make shopping easier as well!


These recipes are very easy to omit the cheese or gluten bread crumbs for gluten free, to also make sure these are adjustable to whatever the needs are of your family too-- here at HGHF we always want to make sure EVERYONE has a seat at the table & can enjoy food with their family.

Ingredients:


Jalapeno Garlic Veggie Burgers:

5 burgers or 15 minis


+ 1 cup raw shredded sweet potato

+ 2 cans black beans drained but not rinsed

+ 1 jalapeno deseeded & chopped finely

+ 2 cloves garlic minced

+ 1/4 cup tomato paste

+ 1/2 cup cooked quinoa

+ 1/2 cup bread crumbs ( GF if needed)

+ 1/2 tbsp Worcester Sauce

+ 1 1/2 tsp salt

+ 1 tsp minced onion

+ 1/2 tsp cumin

+ 1/4 tsp chili powder


Directions:

  1. In a bowl add in the black beans drained but not risen. Then smash with large fork or banana smasher until majority are smashed & only a little bit of beans are left.

  2. Add in shredded sweet potato, jalapeño messed & chopped finely, minced garlic cloves, tomato paste, cooked quinoa, bread crumbs, Worcester sauce, salt, minced onion, cumin & chili powder.

  3. Combine until fully incorporated. Then divide into 5 large patties or minis. Spray large frying pan with olive oil, then cook for 10 minutes on each side on medium heat. Longer if you want it crispier on each side. Then place a piece of cheese on top & melt for the last minute.

EASY LUNCH PREP TIP: Divide into minis & place parchment paper between each one. Store in air tight freezer container & pull out for lunches.

Beef Cheddar Burgers:

4 burgers or 12 minis

+ 1.5 pounds of ground beef

+ 1 tsp salt

+ 1 tsp minced onion

+1/2 tsp paprika

+ 2 cloves garlic minced

+2 tbsp Worcester sauce

+3 oz green chilies

+1/2 cup of chopped cheddar

+dash of turmeric


Directions:

  1. In large bowl add in ground beef. salt, minced onion, paprika, minced garlic cloves, green chilies, turmeric & chopped cheddar. Massage in the ingredients with your hands & then divide into either the minis or large patties.

  2. On high heat on the grill, cook until gold brown & charcoaled on the outside. About 3-5 minutes on each side for beef burgers.



Chicken Cheddar Burgers

4 burgers or 12 minis


+1.5 pound of ground chicken thigh

+3/4 cup bread crumbs ( GF bread crumbs if need be)

+1 tsp salt

+1 tsp minced onion

+1/2 tsp paprika

+2 cloves garlic minced

+2 tbsp Worcester sauce

+3 oz green chilies

+1/2 cup of chopped cheddar

+dash of turmeric


Directions:

  1. In a large bowl add in the ground chicken thigh, bread crumbs, salt, minced onion paprika, garlic cloves minced, Worcester sauce, green chilies, chopped cheddar & turmeric. Massage in the ingredients with your hands & then divide into either the minis or large patties

  2. On high heat on the grill, cook until gold brown & charcoaled on the outside. About 5 minutes on each side for chicken burgers.
